It is estimated that more than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide are released to the atmosphere due to deforestation, mainly the cutting and burning of forests, every year.
The world is taking action
Business needs to act on forests. Many of the world’s companies pay no attention to how their supply chains are damaging forests.
It is very simple: we must save our forests, for there is no Plan B.

pallet waste
ONE BILLION trees are being cut down to make pallets each year. Pallets commonly create waste among many businesses as billions of pallets being produced and turned into waste after only a few uses and thrown away each year.

54% of wood pallets are used for only one shipment and then either stored, burned or thrown away. Every year in the United States alone, 1 million acres of our planet’s trees are destroyed to manufacture and produce the wooden pallets used to operate the distribution industry.

It will only be a matter of time before the wood pallet and packaging will be deemed environmentally unsustainable and eventually wood will be unavailable or too costly to be commercially viable. Legislation will also follow suit and the wood pallet, as we know it, will no longer be a viable part of the logistics equation.
